Support Groups

Shame grows in silence. Healing happens in connection.

There’s something powerful about being in a room with people who truly get it. Support groups help break the isolation that keeps body shame and disordered eating patterns stuck, replacing it with connection, understanding, and relief.

When you hear others share similar thoughts and experiences, it becomes easier to soften self-judgment and start seeing new possibilities for your relationship with your body and food.

Body image Summer Support Group

Current offering

Summer is coming… and for a lot of people, that doesn’t feel exciting—it feels stressful, exposing, and overwhelming.

If you’ve ever thought:

  • “I need to fix my body before summer.”

  • “How quickly can I lose weight before this event/vacation?”

  • “Showing my skin gives me anxiety.”

You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out alone either.

Join us for an 8-week body image support group designed to help you reduce body shame, quiet food and body thoughts, and feel more present in your life this summer.

What to expect

This group blends psychoeducation + real, honest conversation with others who get it. We’ll explore the why behind body image struggles and give you practical, compassionate tools to navigate them.

Untangling your self-worth from your body. Navigating summer triggers (swimsuits, events, photos, comments). Reducing food guilt and body shame. Reclaiming joy, play, and presence in your life. Building a more respectful (not perfect) relationship with your body.

What we will work on together

You feel stuck in body shame or constant self-criticism. You “look fine” on the outside, but feel overwhelmed internally. You’re tired of dieting, obsessing, or avoiding. You want support heading into summer

This group is for you if...
Our approach

At Wilder Wellness, we take a weight-inclusive, non-diet, and compassionate approach. Many of us have lived experience with body image struggles—we get it, and we’re here with you.

The details

  • Starts: May 5th

  • When: Tuesdays at 12 pm PST

  • Duration: 8 weeks

  • Session Length: 60 minutes

  • Format: Virtual, small, and supportive group

  • Facilitator: Kristen Ales

  • Cost: $50 per group (charged weekly). We believe this work should be accessible, so we offer one free spot for every four participants.

This is a virtual group, so you can join from wherever you are. Because this is a peer support group, it’s open to participants both in and outside of Oregon.

Each session is one hour—structured enough to offer guidance and tools, but relaxed enough to feel human and connected. You’re welcome (and encouraged!) to bring your lunch, show up as you are, and settle into a space that feels supportive rather than clinical or rigid.

Email kristen@wilderwellness.co to save your spot or ask any questions—we’d love to have you.
